Dear Parents/Guardians,

Happy 100th day of school!  Thank you for supporting your SKT School Council over the past 100 days.  We have enjoyed making the school a better place for the children to attend.  We understand that everyone is very busy, but we are always looking to you the parents/guardians of the students for your help whether it is to volunteer your time or your talent.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help out with our Snow Glow (Feb 21), our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Breakfast (March 4) and our Fun Fair & Playground Committees.
If you think you can help out in any way with any of our initiatives, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Playground
Thank you for supporting us at the Artpaloosa Pizza Party on January 31st.  We had a great turnout and the children painted some beautiful works of art.  We are working on trying to display the beautiful pieces created that night.  In addition, we understand that all students were not able to make it that night, so we are trying to arrange the opportunity for the students who were not in attendance to create their art during the school day.

Call for Volunteers! We need all the help we can get for the Playground Project.

We need help co-ordinating fundraising events, contacting local businesses for donations, grant writing, and planning & implementing the play structure installation.  If you are able to take on a role to help, please contact: skt.council.ocsb@gmail.com.

Artpaloosa was a success!

Thank you to all involved for making Artpaloosa a success!

We had a few special invited guests come out to support us: Royal Galipeau (the MP for Ottawa-Orleans), Rainer Bloess (the City Councillor for Ward 2 - Innes) and Keith Jansa

It was great to see all the children creating their masterpieces.  Here is a quick sample of some of the art work:

We also hope that the parents had an informative session learning about the playground.  If you were unable to make the meeting, click on the picture below to see a copy of the presentation.

As always, thank you the playground committee and all of the other volunteers who helped organize and run this event.
